One of the adverse effects of staying up is the body more quickly stretched. According to the results of a study, this is because people who like waking up to the night usually eat more and like to eat at random.

In the last 10 years, various studies on sleep underlines the importance of sleep at night and sleep duration of eight hours for adults. Maintaining a healthy sleep pattern will make the body's circadian system remains strong, making metabolic and physiological systems running smoothly.

In the new study, researchers reaffirmed the link between body weight and sleep. Researchers from Northwestern University in the U.S. examined sleep patterns and eating patterns of 52 adults.

More than half the study participants had normal sleep hours, or have a mid-sleep time at about 5.30 am. The remainder, classified in people who like to sleep late and sleep deprivation.

The group of people who sleep late (late Sleepers) consume more calories at dinner and afterwards. They are also more mengasup fast food, soft drink and rarely eat fruit and vegetables. In general, this group ate 248 calories more than those of normal sleep time.

Another habit that encountered in the late Sleepers is rare breakfast and eat in large quantities during lunch and dinner. However, it is not clear if the reason the selection menu that is not healthy because it is the participants' own choice or lack of other menu options.

Dr. Phyllis Zee, a senior researcher in the study stated, when the time sleeping and eating patterns are not in accordance with the body's biological clock, it can cause changes in metabolism and appetite
